Pitching clinics will be offered again this year by R.G.S.A. in 2010. Again, this year the clinic will only be offered in the Spring session to better prepare the pitchers for their season. We will run 12 skill specific lessons from the beginning of January to the end of March. The clinic structure allows for pitchers to prepare better for their upcoming season with 12 skill specific lessons.
These pitching clinics are instructed by Senior R.G.S.A. pitchers who teach the fundamentals of pitching. We have integrated target practice along with incentives to encourage motivation, but at the same time improve their skill ability and have fun. The pitching program assesses each pitcher’s progress through a detailed Pitching Progress Report at the end of the session.
If you would like to apply to become a pitching instructor, please consult the Pitching Clinic Resume.
Pitching Clinic is available to RGSA players who are in the Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget Divisions. It is recommended that players be at least eight years old.
The pitching clinics are held Sundays at McMath Secondary School between 4:00pm-8:00pm. The spring session starts January 10th and ends March 21st 2010. Each spring clinic consists of 12 one hour sessions broken down into skill specific lessons. Please note catchers and/or gloves are not provided by the R.G.S.A, therefore a parent or capable catcher must attend each session with each pitcher.
If you happen to miss the deadline, you may still register with a late charge of $10.00 (mailed with registration). Your child will then be placed on a waiting list and emailed for the next available spot. If you need to contact the coordinator for any reason regarding registration please feel free to email Courtney Bebluk.
To register for the Spring pitching clinic, please print out the attached registration form, then mail in your completed registration form, enclosed with a cheque payable to RGSA to the below address. Once your registration form is received, an instructor will confirm your session time one week prior to the clinic via email and by phone.
